`La Bohème´ opens LA Opera´s new season under a cloud of discontent

Rumors had been floating about that demonstrations in response to the sexual harassment claims against Plácido Domingo might disrupt LA Opera´s glittery opening night production Saturday of Puccini´s `La Bohème.` Fortunately, they did not materialize and glamour was allowed to reign supreme on the red carpet. In the lounge a video promoted Domingo´s still scheduled upcoming performances in Donizetti´s `Roberto Devereux,` but his traditional message of greeting in the program was conspicuously absent - as was Domingo both from the performance and the gala after-party.
